On August 11, 2022, the Chicago Cubs and Cincinatti Reds will take the field in the second “Field of Dreams” game just a short crow’s fly from the filming location for the classic “Field of Dreams” movie in Dyersville, Iowa.
While this year’s game likely will be memorable for both sets of fans, it will be nearly impossible to match the magic of the inaugural clash between the Chicago White Sox and New York Yankees from August 12, 2021. The fans in Iowa on that steamy summer night witnessed the regal Kevin Costner emergy along with both teams from the corn before both teams put on an offensive show with EIGHT home runs into the maize.
